FieldMonitor offers wireless monitoring and control for Canon, Panasonic, Sony, and Teradek devices.
Please note: It is crucial to thoroughly read the entire description before purchasing FieldMonitor.
Prior to purchasing FieldMonitor, it is recommended to test your camera's compatibility with its native Wi-Fi app. Verify that your desired workflow and recording formats are supported. Additionally, ensure that the native app provides the necessary controls and meets your expectations in terms of image quality and lag. If you have any inquiries, feel free to contact us.
- FieldMonitor boasts the same latency, resolution, and reliability as your camera's native app.
- If a camera control or feature does not function with the native app, it will also be incompatible with FieldMonitor.
- FieldMonitor does not support playback, review, or download capabilities.
- In environments with congested Wi-Fi networks or sources of radio interference, performance cannot be guaranteed for both FieldMonitor and your camera's native app.
Functionality:
FieldMonitor™ enables users to monitor picture quality, exposure, and color on supported devices from Canon™, Panasonic™, Sony™, and Teradek™ (Teradeks require iOS 10+). FieldMonitor can be used on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Silicon (M1) Mac.
The following features are available with FieldMonitor:
- Markers to display safe areas, aspect ratios, and framing grids
- Anamorphic image desqueeze cropped to the final ratio
- Image flipping on both horizontal and vertical axis
- Focus Assist to achieve accurate focus (available only for camera sources)
- Waveform monitor, vectorscope, histogram, and/or false color
- Addition of 3D LUTs (available only for camera sources)
With iPhone 5S or later, iPod touch 6G or later, iPad Air or later, iPad mini 2 or later, and iPad Pro, users can view a false-color image with adjustable levels.
With a compatible camera and lens, users can remotely control features such as start/stop recording, exposure settings, color settings, and zoom/focus. Controls are designed for quick real-time adjustments.

Supported Sources:
- Canon: EOS mirrorless and DSLR cameras that support video recording in Wi-Fi remote mode when using Canon's Camera Connect.
- Panasonic: Lumix cameras that transmit a live view while recording when using Image App or Lumix Sync. Note: GH3 and earlier models do not support video recording in Wi-Fi remote mode.
- Sony: Only Alpha and RX cameras that transmit a live view while recording when using Imaging Edge Mobile. Note: A5000, A6000, A7, A7R, A99, and earlier models do not support video recording in Wi-Fi remote mode.

- Additional information regarding supported sources can be found on the FieldMonitor website's support page.
Limitations:
- FieldMonitor is not compatible with cine cameras or camcorders. It only supports "hybrid" still and video cameras (mirrorless or DSLR).
- Audio transmission is not possible from cameras; it is only supported from Teradeks.
- Camera Wi-Fi images vary in resolution depending on the model: 512x288, 640x360, 320x180, or 1024x576. Teradeks support 720p and 1080p.
- "Smart Remote" Sony cameras do not allow the usage of Picture Profiles, S-Log, or S&Q Motion when using Wi-Fi remote control. Additionally, focus points can only be set in photo mode.
- "Ctrl w/ Smartphone" Sony cameras do not display focus area, battery level, and/or storage information. Focus points cannot be set in the app with most cameras except for A1, A7Siii, and FX3, which are exclusively available in video mode.
- Fujifilm legacy support is limited to X-T3 and X-T100 only. The X-T3 camera records only at 1080p/29.97 fps, while the X-T100 camera records at 720p/24 fps. Further details can be found at https://www.adamwilt.com/fieldmonitor/support.html#Fujifilm.
